ABOUT RABOTREND
RABOTREND composed of Rabeprazole (stomach acid reducer, prevents Gastric & Duodenal ulcers) and Domperidone (effects on nausea, vomiting & intestinal motility). It is used to treat gastrointestinal reflux disease(GERD) & Peptic ulcer. These conditions leads to heartburn, chest discomfort and acidity.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
It is better to take an hour before a meal or without a meal for best results.
It should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, crush, or break it. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends.
If you stop treatment too early, your symptoms may come back, and your condition may worsen.
DRUG INTERACTIONS
RABOTREND may interact with a blood thinner (warfarin), antifungal (ketoconazole), anti-HIV drug (atazanavir, nelfinavir), iron supplements, ampicillin antibiotic, anti-cancer drug (methotrexate).
Let your doctor know if you are taking these medicines.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Consult your doctor
If you are allergic to RABOTREND or have gastric cancer, liver disease, low magnesium level (osteoporosis), low vitamin B12
If you have heart problems such as prolongation of QT interval or congestive heart failure
If you have bloody stools or bleeding in the gut
If you have Prolactinoma (a non-cancerous tumor of pituitary gland)
If you have phenylketonuria (a metabolic disorder)
If you have osteoporosis
PRECAUTIONS
PREGNANCY: It is not advised to take during pregnancy until it is considered essential by the doctor.
BREAST FEEDING: Domperidone present in RABOTREND passes into the breast milk. However, no record of risk has been reported.
LIVER & KIDNEY: If you have or had history or evidence of any related diseases, please consult the doctor before taking medicine.
ALCOHOL: Consuming alcohol while on treatment does not effect the way it works.
DRIVING: If you experience drowsiness and visual disturbances(altered vision) after taking RABOTREND, it is advised not to drive or use medicine.
DIET
Avoid intake of acid or heartburn-triggering foods or drinks like caffeinated beverages, citrus fruits or juices, and high-fat and spicy foods
Avoid taking alcohol and smoking cigarette
Include high fiber containing foods, berries, cherries, leafy green veggies (kale, spinach) in your meal. These foods are full of antioxidants, calcium and vitamin B 12 that can help cope with the long-term effects of the medicine
